COVID-19 Update for Zion United Church of Christ

Hello Members and Friends of Zion,

In recent days a couple of active members of our Zion family have tested positive for the COVID virus. Since goal no. 1 is the safety of our entire faith family, some adjustments have been made in our routine.

Please note the following:

1. For Sunday services on Jan 9 and 16, 2022 everyone who is inside the church building is strongly urged to wear a mask and to maintain distancing in the sanctuary. It should be “self distancing” since the previous blue tape seating scheme will not be used.

2. The Coffee Hour, originally scheduled for Jan 9, has been canceled.

3. On Jan 18 the church council will discuss and adopt a worship service model to carry us through the winter months. Part of the model will include recommendations for a successful and safe Annual Meeting. A day or two following that meeting you will receive an email message highlighting the council’s discussions and decisions.

4. If you have been attending worship virtually that is great. Continue to do so. If you wish to start joining us online you may do so whenever you feel the need. The church council truly thanks you for your understanding as all of us do the necessary things to keep us all healthy and safe. Peace to you and your family, Zion Church Council
