Zion News Update

Hello, Members and Friends of Zion:

Last evening the church council held its monthly meeting via Zoom. There were a number of items on the agenda, but the one key issue was dealt with the wearing of masks. We have some very good news here.

Beginning this Sunday, June 13, the wearing of face masks is optional. There will not be a sign in table the foyer. In addition, the blue tape will be removed from all the sanctuary pews allowing you to sit in your favorite spot. And, beginning on June 13th the sanctuary will be filled with our singing of hymns.

However, please note that if you are still awaiting your vaccination(s) it may be wise that you still wear your mask.

The church council also decided to keep the social hall closed for coffee hour. The Sunday Coffee Hour will open the first Sunday in September. In its place the council is considering opening the “Lemonade Stand”. On Sunday morning’s when the weather is favorable the courtyard will be open for lemonade, tea, treats, and visiting with one another.

Welcome back to your church!!
