Happy Cinco De Mayo! 🌮 A very happy return to some sunny spring weather! 🌞 We do have to appreciate the rainfall as it brings us the beauty of Michigan, the colorful flowers, the beautiful green foliage, the birds returning and don’t forget our favorite….mosquitos. 😉 Many will agree to take them over the fluffy white stuff and the COLD! For us gardeners it is sure going to be hard not to get our hands in the dirt this weekend, but it’s just not safe yet. 🌷🌼🌻 Whatever your plans are this weekend, we will be waiting to greet you here at Zion on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. in person and livestream. Get out and enjoy!

Reminders!
We will again be decorating the flower beds outside of the church with Red Geraniums from our Pentecost Service that will be purchased with your donations. If you would like to donate, you may send a check, made out to Zion U.C.C., to the church office and label it Pentecost Flowers. You can also drop an envelope with your donation in the offering plate, labeled Pentecost Flowers or you may contact Pam Flisnik. Deadline for donations is May 21st.
Please join us on Sunday, May 14th, for a very special Mother’s Day Service. We will be honoring our mothers with some amazing music. Do you have a special picture of your mother? Maybe a picture of you with your mother. Also, we are asking everyone to bring one flower on Mother’s Day to honor your own mother. We will have vases set up for all the flowers. You don’t need to buy a flower. Flowers are usually abundant in our own yards in May.

~ Many times during the week our Zion members and friends are in need of a special prayer. Often Sunday is far away and the need for prayer is now! Our PRAYER SUPPORT TEAM will be contacted and offer a prayer from their home. We believe in the power of prayer and the power of love. Please contact the church at the email above, call (586)463-0069 leave a message if there is no answer, or contact Pastor Scott, Jennifer Haberer or Barbara VanDecar and our team will be contacted. Our faith family and friends are continually in our prayers.
~ Our altar always looks more beautiful if it is adorned with flowers! If you would like to purchase flowers in memory of a loved one or in honor of someone you hold dear. The cost is $37.00 for 2 arrangements that are placed on both sides of our altar. Please contact the church office to schedule your Sunday and we will handle the ordering. Payments can be made before the date you chose by mailing a check or money order to the church made out to Zion UCC or you can drop the payment in the offering basket and make sure you label it ALTAR FLOWERS. Flowers are available for pick up on the Sunday you choose after the service has ended. Thank you!
~ Donating with PayPal is as easy as scanning the QR code (at the bottom of this e-mail) with your phone’s camera, like taking a picture but it will scan instead.
